Pricing FAQ
Why per inspector seat instead of per project?
Because the seat is the cleanest unit of value: it matches who actually uses the software, contractors already budget per-CWI for labor, and crew size is a real proxy for QC intensity. A 25-inspector mainline program and a 4-inspector tie-in shouldn't pay the same flat per-project rate — per-seat scales naturally with the work. Run as many concurrent projects as your team handles; there's no per-project surcharge.
What counts as an "inspector seat"?
Any user with permission to file inspections, sign DPRs, or capture field data through the mobile app or web UI — CWIs, NACE coating inspectors, utility inspectors, chief inspectors, all the same single subscription. Operator-side viewers (a client's compliance officer reviewing your work in real time) do not count; those read-only grants are unlimited and free.
Is there a per-document or per-extraction charge?
No. AI-assisted extraction of BOMs, MTRs, and NDT reader sheets is bundled. You pay your annual subscription and that's it — no per-document line items, ever.
Can we add inspectors mid-year?
Yes. Overage runs at $3,600 per additional seat per year, prorated to your renewal date. When your team grows past a tier's seat ceiling, your next renewal moves to the next tier automatically.
Do coating inspectors and CWIs need separate licenses?
No. A seat is a seat. NACE coating inspectors, CWIs, utility inspectors, and chief inspectors all work from the same subscription — every role gets the modules it needs, with no per-discipline upsell.
Do you offer a pilot?
No pilot SKU — we go straight to annual contracts and let the multi-year discount (10% at two years, 15% at three) serve as the commitment incentive. It keeps the relationship simple and the whole product available from day one rather than a feature-limited trial.
How do you load our BOMs and CWI report formats?
Self-serve and included in every tier. The BOM Import Wizard ingests your engineering BOM PDFs — your admin confirms the table boundaries and approves the extracted rows. The Form Mapper (and Box Mapper for flat scans) maps each CWI's report layout in minutes, with a test extraction to verify before activating. No engineering ticket, no special-casing.
What's included in setup?
Project setup, user provisioning, template customization (DPR format, cover sheets, turnover package), a BOM Wizard + Form/Box Mapper walkthrough, mobile rollout to your team, and a live training session. Setup is tiered by team size: $2,500 (Starter), $5,000 (Professional), $10,000–$15,000 (Enterprise).
What happens to our data if we don't renew?
You receive a complete export in turnover-package format within 14 days. Your account stays read-only for 60 days, then is archived. You own your data — Veriweld is the processor, you are the controller. No proprietary lock-in.
Are AI extractions reviewed before they hit the record?
Yes. Every BOM line, every extracted MTR, every weld report pulled from a PDF passes an inspector review checkpoint before it's committed. Veriweld surfaces the suggestion; your inspector decides.
