One capture, the whole job
Most pipeline QC is a stack of disconnected tools: a weld-log spreadsheet, a coating binder, a folder of NDT PDFs, a separate schedule, and a turnover scramble at the end. Veriweld replaces the stack with one connected record. A weld captured at the joint on the mobile app drives the WPS audit, the daily report, the heat-to-BOM trace, the schedule, and the turnover package, and the same is true for coating, NDT, and receiving.

01Material
It starts before the first weld. Material arrives, gets a barcode tag at receiving, and its heat numbers are in QC the same minute.

02Field QC

Capture every weld at the joint on the mobile app, scanning heat numbers off the barcode tag, then audit it against its WPS on submit: welder qualification, diameter, position, electrode, amps, volts, preheat. The weld log that drives everything downstream.
Coating QC →
NACE inspector logs, wet- and dry-film thickness, and holiday testing, captured on the mobile app against the same joint as the weld rather than in a separate binder.
NDT / NDE →
RT, MT, and UT reader sheets captured, cosigned, and cross-referenced to the weld log, with rejections and reshoots tracked to closure.

A discipline-grouped schedule and Gantt with progress auto-updated from field activity, and cost rolled up from receiving and POs. The PM dashboard stays current on its own.
Daily reports (DPR)
The daily report drafts itself from the day's welds, NDT, and coating. The inspector fills in weather and crew, reviews, and signs.
Change orders, RFIs & submittals

04Turnover
Closeout is an export, not a month of reconciliation.
Regulatory turnover (Part 192)
A 49 CFR Part 192 turnover package assembles on demand: weld log, NDT, MTRs, coating, and audit trail, with a cover sheet and signed-PDF preservation.
Mechanical completion
Bolt-up torque, tie-in events, and pressure-vessel inspections captured in the field on the mobile app and bundled into the turnover package.

What does Veriweld’s pipeline construction inspection software cover?

Is it only for welding inspection?
No. Welding is the flagship, since it’s where most field time goes, but coating QC (NACE, DFT, holiday testing), NDT, material traceability, scheduling and cost, daily reports, and turnover all live on the same platform and the same project record.
Does the whole platform work on mobile?
Field capture does. Welds, coating, NDT, daily reports, bolt-ups, tie-ins, and receiving all work on the native iOS and Android app, offline-first. Admin surfaces (heat curation, WPS administration, org settings) are on the web.
Do we have to buy modules separately?
No. Every discipline is bundled in one subscription, with no module unlocks and no per-discipline upsell. Pricing scales by the number of inspector seats, not by which capabilities you turn on.
Can we start with just weld tracking and add the rest later?
Yes. The platform adopts incrementally and runs alongside your existing process. Many teams start with field weld capture on the mobile app, then bring coating, NDT, material traceability, and turnover online as they go.
How does data flow from material to turnover?
Material is tagged and its heat numbers enter QC at receiving; inspectors capture welds, coating, and NDT against that material in the field; the schedule, cost, and daily report update from the same data; and at closeout the Part 192 turnover package assembles from the record that was built along the way.
